Comments:Only for bicycle-related crashes. Update 2023-06-11: This CMF was derived based on the coefficient reported by the authors in the study. The authors mention a contradicting statement following reporting of the coefficient, i.e., “the presence of crosswalks (correlation coefficient 2.17 and standard error 1.23) was found to be favorable in the prevention of the probability of bicycle crashes at intersections.” There is likely an error with the authors reporting the coefficient as 2.17, which leads to the CMF of 8.76.
